Quilting Knowledge Series (Part 1)

multi needle quilting machine -1

1.What to Do When the Shuttleless Quilting Machine Fails to Pick Up the Thread?

First, check the threading of both the upper and lower threads and ensure that the tension is set correctly. Then, push up the light axis and verify that the needle and hook are correctly positioned, approximately two millimeters apart.

If the machine fails to pick up the thread during pattern jumps, adjust the thread length parameter on the computer control interface, but be cautious not to increase it excessively.

2.How to Resolve Issues with Imperfect Circles Produced by the Quilting Machine?

Start by adjusting the stitch length to a smaller value, aiming for a range between 4.8 and 5.2. Set the backstitch parameter to 4 and reduce the machine’s speed. This should help in producing well-formed small circles.

3.How to Quilt a Standard and Even Pattern?

Identify the root cause of the uneven pattern, which could be related to the thickness of the sponge. If the base material is too thin, it can lead to pattern distortion and uneven sizes. Adjust the parameters based on the pattern and material thickness.

For continuous patterns, if there is horizontal overlapping, reduce the x-axis parameter; if there is vertical overlapping, reduce the y-axis parameter. If horizontal and vertical lines are separated, increase the x and y parameters accordingly.

For pattern jumps, adjust the GX and GY parameters. When quilting diamonds, if the diagonal separation is too wide, increase the diagonal pull parameter; if the diagonals intersect, reduce the diagonal pull parameter.
