How to foam by continuous foam production line?–raw material preparation

continuous foaming machine (8)

Before commencing the production of polyurethane foam, it is crucial to prepare the necessary raw materials in accordance with the desired foam characteristics. These materials encompass polyol compounds (polyether), polyisocyanate compounds (TDI, MDI), catalysts, stabilizers, surfactants, foaming agents, and flame retardants.

As a preliminary step in foam production, it is essential to maintain precise temperature control of the primary materials. The temperatures of TDI, MC, PPG, POP, powder, and other key components should be kept within the range of 24-25 degrees Celsius. The temperature of these raw materials plays a significant role in determining the speed of foam formation, foaming reaction rates, gelation reaction rates, and more. Lower temperatures can lead to insufficient foaming or even complete absence of foaming, while higher temperatures may result in overly rapid reactions, generating excessive heat during foaming and potentially causing internal burning.
